JINGLE BELLES! CHRISTMAS COCKTAIL ATTIRE FOR ALL THE SINGLE LADIES

Looking to stand out from the crowd at this holiday season?  Tired of the predictable little black dress?  Look no further than our Ivy Handbook best of the prep for this season's cocktail parties below.  Try out bold stripes, cherry red, equestrian inspired accessories or art deco jewelry to spice up your latest and preppiest Christmas confection!

As any prep worth her salt knows, one does not simply attend a cocktail party without a gift for the host or hostess.  This time of year, anything with a splash or red or green passes as festive, so we suggest bringing along Chatham Ivy's Entering Newport Tee for women or men in short or long sleeves.  After all, everyone loves Newport and everyone loves 100% combed ring spun cotton t-shirts, so what could be a better?

CHESS NUTS BOASTING IN AN OPEN FOYER . . . BLACK TIE FOR THE MEN THIS TIME

In case you're wondering about the title to this post, it was the punchline to our Dad's favorite holiday joke.  Every Christmas, clad in his red tie with embroidered reindeer, white button down shirt, navy jacket, gray wool pants (no pleats, please), and penny loafers (no beef rolls either, please) he would bust out this joke and laugh heartily as if he'd never told it before.  When my Dad laughed, his eyes crinkled and twinkled and he had the most infectious smile.  We couldn't help but laugh too even as we said, "oh brother Dad, not that old chestnut", which, given the context, would crack him up again.  If you want to look as dapper as Dick Noble on Christmas, check out these formal wear options:

Whether you're headed to a party in New York or Newport, we at Chatham Ivy know you'll look dashing!

YULE SHINE LIKE RUDOLPH'S NOSE AT YOUR CHRISTMAS PARTY!

Christmas is the time when the prep set really gets to shine in all of their formal glory - from patent leather to tartan taffeta to navy velvet.  We are huge fans of the black tie holiday party although with the recent emphasis on all things uberhip and lumbersexual, we're afraid it's becoming an endangered affair.  If you're attending a black tie party or a winter wedding, here are some of our favorite formal fashions and accessories.

At Chatham Ivy we don't sell formalwear, but we do have the perfect gift for the tartan lover in your life.  You'll be the hit of any party if you bring along our long-sleeved Wicked Tartan horse and fox t-shirt for your hostess.
